You may have noticed the beautiful hanging baskets which have appeared around the village. This year these have been paid for by a Community Council grant from Aberdeenshire Council, together with some additional cash from West Garioch Community Council.
The baskets were created by Janette Bean and will be maintained over the summer by Blossoms of Insch.
R. J. Planthire very kindly stepped in to make the brackets for the lamp posts free of charge, and also volunteered a digger and manpower to put the baskets in place. Well done, Ron & co.
As we won’t qualify for a grant for this purpose again, it is hoped to collect donations towards repeating the exercise next year.
