| Description: | Insch Village received money from the lottery fund to create a "Breathing Space" for the wildlife and people at the Meadow. Now's your chance to take a photograph to show what the words "Breathing Space" mean to you. e.g your picture might show flowers, a bird, or your friends and family having fun. There are prizes for the following groups: Up to Primary 3 Primary 4 and 5 Primary 6 and 7 Secondary school pupils and adults. Please print your photograph and hand it in to Laines Craft Shop 60 Commerce St Insch together with the entry form. | Have Your Say About How Insch Is Developed In the Coming Years | ||

| Description: | The Council are preparing a new Local Development Plan for the whole of Aberdeenshire and they have published a report that sets out choices and options for the land allocations that could be made for development. They are seeking the public’s views on these options, and comments must be with them by Monday 6th July to be considered. The Council are suggesting that the plan only allows for development in Insch that can be accommodated by existing services. There is currently space in Insch primary school to allow for about 60 additional houses and an area has been identified to allow for this. But there are many other sites that have been included as possible development sites – if all of these were included there would be well in excess of 600 new houses. It is important that you tell the Council what you want and where you want it. Please take a moment to have a look at the attached document which is a 2 page extract of the report, which relates to proposals for Insch, to see what is being said. Many people have rallied round in the past to protect the woodland and countryside walks in Insch, so it is particularly concerning to see the sites G104 and part of G145 (site C in the current plan), which border the existing village walks. | Description: | The Huntly Rotary Club are bringing Santa to Insch this year! (Our Insch firefighters are not able to do it ). Santa will be helping us to light up the new Christmas tree. The tree is in the newly prepared bedded area on the way to Bennachie Leisure Centre just before you turn to go left to the Golf Club! He will be there about 6.20pm Monday 15 December.
