Results of Insch Primary School Survey  from Insch Community Website  (2008/10/3 11:39)
Aberdeenshire Council have published proposals on how they are going to meet the national programme - Curriculum for Excellence. A meeting was arranged to tell parents about these proposed changes but due to the very poor turnout (10%), it was decided that a newsletter and questionnaire should be produced to inform the parents of Insch Primary School about the proposals and seek their views. Results of Insch School Travel Survey June 2008  from Insch Community Website  (2008/6/25 16:39)
Results of Insch School Travel Survey June 2008 BACKGROUND Over the last year there has been a big expansion in the size of Insch although the school role itself has not significantly increased. The last traffic survey was carried out in 2006 and since then traffic calming measures have been introduced on Martin Road along with flashing 20mph signs on Alexander and George Street. A trial one way system along Alexander Street was introduced and to judge how effective the trial was a questionnaire was drawn up. The questionnaire was also designed to obtain up to date information which reflected the current size of Insch. Altogether 204 questionnaires were issued. This included 29 to the Nursery classes. The Nursery classes either walk or more predominately come to school by car as they are not eligible to go on the buses. Due to this the nursery questionnaires were marked with an N on the right hand corner so that they could be analysed independently. Click on the link below to dowl ...

Scotia Planning Workshops  from Insch Community Website  (2008/5/9 16:27)
Scotia are holding a further Planning Workshop in Insch Church Hall on Thursday 22nd May 2008 6.30pm The following is an account of the previous workshops. I am posting this report as I am concerned that the majority of Insch residents had to miss the ‘Insch Design Workshops’ organised by Scotia Homes. The Design Workshops took place on 9 and 10 April. Only those who had attended the previous one day workshop received notification of this event. On the first morning a maximum of 15 Insch residents attended. There was a similar number in the Scotia ‘team’ which comprised architects, artists, landscape specialists etc. It was pointed out that the audience hardly seemed representative of the population of the village at large, but the response was that there would be further opportunities for others to participate in the future. The presentations given related to an‘ideal village’. A mix of sizes of houses in any new development was generally agreed to be preferable to the schemes ...
Insch School PTA Race Night  from Insch Community Website  (2008/3/11 8:58)
Insch School PTA Race Night Friday 14th March at 8pm in School Hall We have had a fantastic response from local businesses, who have been very generous in sponsoring our races for Friday night. Also, an abundance of raffle prizes have been rolling in. The DVD package has arrived with the sealed races and our Compere for the evening is at the ready. Now all we need is your support! It is not too late to organise a babysitter, or how about a fun Girls/Lads night out? Unfortunately, tickets sales have been slow. We really need your support to acknowledge the generosity of local businesses, and make it a fun, worthwhile evening. Some people have asked what happens at a Race Night. We have outlined below how the event is run. With your support we will have a great, exciting, fun-filled social evening, and raise funds for the local school. Unfortunately, without your support, the event may need to be canceled. To give us an idea of numbers, and to reserve your ticket, p ...
